Subhas Chandra Bose is regarded as the symbol of patriotism and courage.  He's the pride of Bengal and a fantastic inspiration to all Indians even now.  The immense self-confidence and stubbornness that Subhas Chandra Bose possessed made him stand apart from all the other freedom fighters.

The motto'Delhi Chalo' (March into Delhi) used by Subhas Chandra Bose still roars from the ears of every Indian domestic.  Subhas Chandra Bose wasn't just a freedom fighter but a social reformer , powerful orator and also also a leader.

Early Life, Education and Career:

Subhas Chandra Bose was born in a Hindu Kayastha Household to Prabhabati Devi on 23rd January 1897 and Janakinath Bose at Cuttack.  He was the ninth child among the two children of his parents.  Subhas Chandra Bose was a student; he finished schooling in his hometown Cuttack and also did his Bachelor's degree from the University of Calcutta.

He resigned his Civil Service job saying that he does not want to function under a government and returned to India.His career was abandoned by subhas Chandra Bose and began involving in the independence struggle of India.

Fearless Freedom Fighter:

As to liberate India from the British rule and an Initial step towards freedom struggle, the Congress Movement was joined by Subhas Chandra Bose.  He had been bold determined and incredibly focused that he was elected as the President of All India Youth Congress and the Secretary of Bengal State Congress.  He was also chosen as the Mayor of Calcutta and worked as the Calcutta Municipal Corporation's Chief Executive Officer.Subhas Chandra Bose was a mixture of genius and valor and so his ideologies were peculiar.  

Due to this, he had differences with Mahatma Gandhi and several other Congress Leaders and so he abandoned the Congress Party and formed his own party known as the Forward Block.  Though Subhas Chandra Bose's ideas were liked by several leaders, he always picked a dangerous path and risked.Subhas Chandra Bose never emphasized that the army.  He conducted an All India Anti-British Campaign in September 1939.  

He was arrested and sent to prison twenty five times between 1941 and 1920.  But nothing stopped Subhas Chandra Bose from showing his patriotism and fighting with the British.  He was put under house arrest but he escaped and reached Berlin, Germany where he had been provided training for a couple of years by none other than Adolf Hitler. Subhas Chandra Bose was even promised help by the German forces to fight against the British.


Founder of Indian National Army – Azad Hind Fauj:


Subhas Chandra Bose's ultimate goal was to push away British from India and he was ready to go to any extent to accomplish this.  Throughout his stay in Germany, Subhas Chandra Bose created his own military by coaching the Indians who resided in Germany and also the war offenders from Japan, Germany and Italy.  He succeeded in developing a full-fledged Indian National Army with 40,000 soldiers and this military was known as'Azad Hind Fauj'.

With this army, Andaman and Nicobar Islands were freed by him and subhas Chandra Bose was the founder and commander of Azad Hind Fauj and renamed them as Saheed and Swaraj Islands.  

He sought help from the government of Japan to assist him and travelled to Japan.With the reverberating slogan'Delhi Chalo' and'Jai Hind', Subhas Chandra Bose directed his army of soldiers to wage war against the British.  But before India could be reached by the military, they heard the news of surrender.  This made the war to be called off by Subhas Chandra Bose and he withdrew his army men.


Contributions:
The participation of Subhas Chandra Bose into our nation is beyond comparison.  Everything was left by him to serve his nation and also to free India from the British rule.  His writings in the paper'Swaraj', inculcated aggression and patriotism in the minds of individuals.  He had set Azad Hind Bank at Rangoon up with an initial capital of $50 million besides founding a military on his own.Subhas Chandra Bose had a vision for India.  

He wanted to acquire freedom not just from the British principle but an whole freedom from all believes.  He wanted equal rights for women.  By producing a women wing at the Indian National Army who even involved with the guerrilla he also led an illustration to his vision.  Subhas Chandra Bose emphasized upon societal freedom.

The Indian soldiers in Germany known as Subhas Chandra Bose as'Netaji' which means'Respected Leader' and this name came attached to his name and people started calling him'Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose'.
